The Pivot
For five years, I worked as a Registered Nurse specialising in anaesthetics — reading vitals, following protocol, and making fast decisions where the cost of error is real. That background isn't a detour into tech. It's direct preparation for it.
Compliance under pressure, precision in high-stakes environments, and ownership when things go wrong — these translate directly to cybersecurity and infrastructure work, where the same instincts protect systems instead of patients.
I'm now a Computer Science graduate from RMIT University (Distinction, Cybersecurity major), building toward DevOps and cloud security roles — with Terraform, AWS, and secure-by-design infrastructure as my current focus.

01 — This Site
Every part of what you're looking at — the domain, the CDN, the certificate, the storage — is provisioned entirely through Terraform on AWS. No console clicking. The infrastructure is the portfolio piece, not just what it hosts.
02 — Healthcare Data Privacy
A Python pipeline that strips protected health information out of free-text clinical notes before that data can go anywhere else. AWS Comprehend Medical's DetectPHI does the entity detection; the pipeline applies HIPAA Safe Harbor–style de-identification on top, so PHI never leaves the boundary in the clear.
Built with the same care as the infrastructure above: 140 passing tests (plus two intentionally-failing cases marked xfail(strict=True), pinning a known Comprehend Medical gap on Australian phone formats until AWS fixes it upstream) covering the detection and redaction logic against real clinical-note patterns, not just happy-path input.
